From laundry baskets, plant baskets, bread baskets, storage baskets, to banana fibre carpets, our beautiful range of products will add texture and character to your home.

The baskets and handcrafts sold by Bamboo & Reed are more that just handiwork. They are centuries of tradition and stories passed down from generation to generation; an essential tool for everyday life, a means to earn a living, and a way of displaying beauty and creativity. All of this using materials readily available in nature, such as papyrus, sisal, banana fibre, bamboo, and reed. 

It is fascinating to know that whether in Uganda, Zimbabwe, Morocco, South Africa, or Portugal, all countries have a unique culture of weaving, patterns unique to them. Artisans are trained from generation to generation bring us these beautiful pieces. I am happy to share the beauty of Uganda, and the hard work of these artisans with you.
